The Bike Patrol Unit falls under the command of the Special Operations Division.  Bike Patrol deputies are cross trained deputies who work full time in the School Resource Officer Unit and Mounted Patrol Unit.  The Bike Patrol Unit puts deputies in direct face-to-face contact the citizens of Forsyth County.  Bike Patrol deputies are used to patrol areas of the county that cannot typically be accessed by patrol cars; such as the Big Creek Greenway, The Avenue Forsyth, Forsyth County Parks, Army Corps of Engineers Parks and other congested areas. 

A Bicycle Safety Class is offered to citizen groups and schools; educating bicycle riders about helmet safety, pre-ride checks, bicycles and vehicles sharing the road and traffic laws that apply to bicyclist.
