The Citizens’ Law Enforcement Academy is a free ten week course that meets from 7 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on consecutive Mondays.
The Academy is open to all Forsyth County residents, employees, and business owners.
The Academy provides students with hands-on training and law enforcement knowledge in a friendly environment.
The course is run by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and closely follows the actual hands-on training deputies undergo. All instructors in this program are Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office employees. Topics include Constitutional law, conducting traffic stops, judgmental use of force, K9 and S.W.A.T. demonstrations, ride-alongs with deputies and much more.
Our goal is to build a closer bond with the citizens and business owners of Forsyth County through communication and education.

Did you know many incidents can now be reported by telephone? If you would like to speak to a deputy about an incident that is not in progress you may do so by calling the appropriate precinct during normal business hours.
