Deputy Sheriff First Class Travis Spriggs as Deputy of the Year
for the North Precinct.
Spriggs, a
K-9 officer, is a five-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office. He
was named Deputy of the Month for July, 2006 for his outstanding
work in putting a stop to a rash of burglaries in his patrol area,
including the arrest of four suspects, all of which contributed
to his winning this award.
In addition,
Deputy Spriggs and his K-9 partner also made several felony drug
arrests during the year. In the words of Captain Flowers, “Deputy
Spriggs cared, he worked hard and he succeeded”.
