County Deputy Brian Sadler has been promoted to Deputy Sheriff
First Class, Sheriff Ted Paxton announced today. Sadler’s promotion
was effective March 6.
Sadler, a three-year
veteran of the agency, is assigned to the Motorcycle Unit in Special

In order to become
eligible for promotion to Deputy Sheriff First Class, a deputy
has to meet certain criteria, including:

a Deputy Sheriff II.
*Must be a state certified Field Training Officer (F.T.O.).
*Must have successfully completed a training course in Crime Scene
Processing.
*Must have “met standards” on his or her most recent annual performance
evaluation and must continue to “meet standards” on all future

“The Deputy First Class
rank was implemented last year to reward our deputies who have
been with us for awhile and who have performed above and beyond
the minimum standards,” Sheriff Paxton said. “The rank provides
additional pay incentives for each deputy”.
