June 11, 2005

A 26 year-old man was killed today when his motorcycle collided with a van on Dr. Bramblett Road in Cumming.

According to Sheriff’s Office Traffic Specialist Inv. Phillip Alexander, Jamison Edward Hansard was traveling southbound on Dr. Bramblett Road on his 2004 Ducati S4R motorcycle when a northbound 1990 Chevrolet Astro van turned left into his path.  Alexander stated the van was driven by Doris Revis of Dr. Bramblett Road.  Hansard resided on Woodberry Walk in Cumming.

Alexander said Revis, age 50, was attempting to turn into a private driveway and did not see the motorcycle approaching.

Hansard was transported by ambulance to North Fulton Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.  Revis was not injured, Alexander said.

The collision occurred at 3:34 p.m. under cloudy skies.  Alexander said there was no immediate indication that alcohol was a contributing factor.

No charges have been filed pending completion of the investigation of the collision.
