Warrant Sweep Nets Nine Arrests
 

   
   
 

A recent warrant sweep by Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office deputies resulted in arrests of nine persons on a wide variety of misdemeanor and felony charges, Sheriff Ted Paxton announced today.

The sweep, conducted by a team of eight deputies from the Warrant and S.O.A.R Units in the early morning hours of August 15, began at 3:00 a.m. and lasted until 1:00 p.m., said Lt. Chuck Smith, Commander of the Sheriff’s Office Warrant Unit.  One of those arrested, Vickie Thrasher, was found hiding in a bedroom under a comforter, Lt. Smith added.  Also arrested were a mother and daughter, Cindy Evans and Cynthia Puckett.

Those arrested and the charges against them, include:

Anthony Chaffin, white male, age 32:  Simple Battery, Cruelty to Children and Interference with a 911 Call.


Brendan John Johansen, white male, age 30:  State Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on DUI charges.


Jesse Suggs, white male, age 57:  Felony probation warrant for Violation of Georgia Controlled Substance Act.

Humberto Castillo, Latino male, age 25:  Misdemeanor Probation Contempt Order for Driving Without a Valid License.

Tracy Andrew Stansell, white male age 38:  Simple Battery

Larry Gene Newberry, white male, age 57:  Arrested on a Hall County Probation Violation charge.

Vickie Sabrina Thrasher, white female, age 24:  Felony probation warrant for Obtaining Prescription Drugs by Fraud.

Cindy Elizabeth Evans, white female, age 38:  Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Burglary, Forgery, Theft of Services.

Cynthia Elizabeth Puckett, white female, age 20:  Obstruction, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Theft of Services, Burglary of a Residence.
