March 9, 2002 The body of a man was discovered late yesterday afternoon near the new Super Target store at Cumming Marketplace. The body, believed to be a white male about 40 years of age, was lying in a creek. It was discovered by workers who were in the process of cleaning up construction materials. Investigators from Cumming Police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation believe the body may have been in the creek for several weeks. Authorities are releasing few details at this time, pending positive identification of the body and notification of next-of-kin. Foul play is suspected as a cause of death. |
