WOMAN DIES IN THREE-VEHICLE COLLISION

A Gwinnett County woman was killed Monday afternoon after her vehicle was struck by a concrete truck in South Forsyth County.
Sharon K. Frye, 50, of Lawrenceville was pronounced dead at North Fulton Regional Hospital after the 5:57 p.m. collision.
According to reports, Ms. Frye, who was driving a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville, was traveling southbound on Johns Creek Parkway when she was struck on the driver’s side by a 1993 Mac 600 concrete truck that was traveling westbound on McGinnis Ferry Road. After being struck, Ms. Frye’s vehicle was knocked into the path of a 2001 Chevrolet truck that was traveling eastbound on McGinnis Ferry Road. The collision occurred at the intersection of Johns Creek Parkway and McGinnis Ferry Road at the Forsyth County-Fulton County line.
The driver of the concrete truck was Victor Ray Swain, 36, of College Park. The driver of the Chevrolet truck was Leo Voskamp, 32, of Suwanee. Neither man was injured in the collision. All of the drivers were traveling alone when the incident occurred.
The collision is currently under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Specialists. No charges have been filed at this time.
This is Forsyth County’s sixth traffic fatality this year.
