MAN INJURED IN MOTORCYCLE COLLISION

A Forsyth County man remains in critical condition today after being struck by a vehicle Monday evening on Ga. Hwy. 20.

Thomas Shane Williams, 34, of Cumming, was traveling westbound on Ga. Hwy. 20 on his 1993 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he was struck by a 1996 Ford Contour that was making a left turn into Tri-County Plaza off of Ga.Hwy. 20. The collision occurred at approximately 10:50 p.m. at the intersection on Hwy. 20 between Lakeland Plaza Shopping Center and Tri-County Plaza Shopping Center.

The driver of the Ford Contour, Maranda Elaine Evans, 20, of Cumming, was not injured. She was in the vehicle alone.

Williams was ejected from the motorcycle and was taken by Lifeflight to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. According to investigators, Williams suffered a severe head injury and multiple broken bones.

The collision is currently under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Specialists. No charges have been filed at this time.
