Local public safety employees were guests of honor on Sunday, September 8 at The Rock of Cumming Church. Attending services which honored local heroes as well as those at the World Trade Center disaster were members of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Forsyth County Fire Department and other emergency workers.

During the service, a check in the amount of $455 was presented by Senior Pastor Mark Smith to the Sheriff’s Office. The donation is dedicated to the purchase of one set of body armor for a deputy to wear. Capt. Frank Huggins, Lt. Mark Flowers and Deputy Todd Lewis accepted the check on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office.
