November 05, 2002 The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has received a number of calls and compliments for the added neighborhood patrols we provided on Halloween night. Deputies from the agency were assigned to various zones throughout the county, concentrating on subdivisions where we expected large number of children "trick or treating". Deputies were provided with items to give to children, including candy and Junior Deputy badges. Everywhere they went, deputies were met with a warm welcome from parents and children. One such message from Sweetbriar Subdivision arrived via email from our web site:
Other than a few reports of minor vandalism, the evening passed without any major incidents. No injuries to children were reported. |
