Monday, December 23, 2002 Two Suwanee men were injured, one critically, in a late-night single vehicle wreck early Saturday morning. According to Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Traffic Specialist Anthony Palacios, a 2002 Subaru Impreza was northbound on James Burgess Road at Tate Frady Road shortly after midnight when it left the road and traveled over 200 feet down an embankment before striking a tree. The Subaru was driven by Danut Vasile Batin, age 19, of Maple Terrace Place in Suwanee. Mr. Batin was transported by ambulance to Gwinnett Medical Center where he was treated and released. A passenger in the car, 20 year-old Jason Wilson of a McGinnis Ferry Road, Suwanee, address, was trapped in the car and had to be rescued by Forsyth County Fire Department personnel. Wilson was flown by helicopter to Atlanta Medical Center where he remains in critical condition. An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing. |
