A Cumming man was critically injured yesterday afternoon when his Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided with an Acura SUV.
Michael D. Fox, 40, of a Nichols Road address, suffered multiple broken bones and a serious leg injury in the wreck, which occurred at 3:15 p.m. at the intersection of Old Atlanta and Sharon Roads.
According to Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Traffic Specialists, Fox was northbound on Old Atlanta Road when his Harley-Davidson Fat Boy collided with a left-turning 2001 Acura MDX. The driver of the Acura was Catherine A. Swoboda, 36, of Summit Trail in Cumming. Swoboda was not injured.
Fox was transported by helicopter to North Fulton Regional Hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries. He remains in critical condition.
No charges have been filed, pending completion of the wreck's investigation, said Traffic Specialist Cpl. Chris Shelton.
