North Precinct Selects Deputy of the Month for June

Forsyth County Deputy Sheriff Tim Sprayberry has been selected as the North Precinct’s Deputy of the Month for June, 2008 North Precinct Commander Mark Flowers announced today.

Deputy Sprayberry, who was employed with the Sheriff’s Office in June, 2006 was selected among his peers for his outstanding work in May.  According to Captain Flowers, Sprayberry’s selection for this award comes in part because of his pro-active role in the apprehension of the leader of the “Blue Jean Bandits” during a manhunt in the North Forsyth Area. Even though he was off-duty at the time, Deputy Sprayberry had his Sheriff’s Office portable radio with him in order to keep abreast of a manhunt in the area of Hwy. 306 and Hwy. 9.  Deputy Sprayberry observed a suspicious vehicle and radioed it in to Communications in order to have a deputy check it out. This led to the arrest of the suspect mentioned above and subsequently led to the apprehension of several accomplices who were also in the area of the manhunt.

During the year, each Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Precinct recognizes a Deputy of the Month.  At the end of each year, a Deputy of the Year is selected from the 12 monthly award winners.
