South Precinct Names Deputy of the Month for November

Forsyth County Deputy Sheriff First Class (DFC) Colin Belisle has been named the South Precinct’s Deputy of the Month for November, 2009, South Precinct Commander Captain Ron Freeman announced today.

DFC Belisle, who was employed with the Sheriff’s Office in October, 2006 was selected among his peers for his outstanding work and the excellent customer service he provides.

According to Captain Freeman, DFC Belisle earned this special recognition because of his outstanding service to the citizens of Forsyth County during November.  On November 6, DFC Belisle was instrumental in the apprehension of two forgery suspects.   Then, on November 7, DFC Belisle and the recruit he was training arrested a suspected burglar whom they caught in the act of stealing scrap metal.   Finally, on November 12, DFC Belisle and his recruit apprehended a person who was illegally hunting deer near Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Majors Road.  The suspect was turned over to a Department of Natural Resources ranger and faces multiple charges related to illegal hunting.

According to DFC Belisle’s supervisor, he is an “outstanding deputy who is devoted to solving crimes, consistently going above and beyond to see his cases through from start to finish.”

During the year, each Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Precinct recognizes a Deputy of the Month.  At the end of each year, a Deputy of the Year is selected from the 12 monthly award winners.
