Sheriffs' Youth Home Honors Cumming Resident

Forsyth County Sheriff Ted Paxton presents an Honorary Lifetime Member plaque for the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes to Georg Hessenius of Cumming.

Hessenius was chosen for this honor because of his long history of financial support of the Youth Homes, Sheriff Paxton said.   Sheriff Paxton currently serves as First Vice President of the Homes’ board of directors.

The Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes operates five campuses in various locations around the state and provides a safe, loving environment for boys and girls who are unwanted and unloved.  Currently, the homes have approximately 100 children being cared for on the five campuses.
