Sheriff Paxton Picked to Head Youth Homes Board

Forsyth County Sheriff Ted Paxton has been selected as President of the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes board of directors, it was announced today.

Sheriff Paxton, along with the rest of the board of directors, were installed  at the Georgia Sheriffs’ Summer Training Conference, which was held July 20 -22 at Legacy Lodge and Conference Center at Lake Lanier Islands.

Sheriff Paxton has been a long-time supporter of the Sheriffs’ Youth Homes and has served on the board of directors for several years.  In addition, each year the Sheriff’s Office sponsors a golf tournament and a motorcycle ride, the proceeds from which benefit the Youth Homes.

“The Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes is one of my favorite charities,” Sheriff Paxton said.  “I’m glad to have been afforded the opportunity to serve on its board of directors,” he added.
