Forsyth County Deputy First Class Stephen Bradley has been selected as the North Precinct’s Deputy of the Month for February, 2007 North Precinct Commander Mark Flowers announced today.
Bradley, who was employed with the Sheriff’s Office in May, 2004 was selected among his peers for his outstanding work during February. According to Captain Flowers, during February, Bradley made five felony and seven misdemeanor arrests. These arrests included two for driving under the influence, two narcotics and several related to family violence.
In addition, Deputy Bradley initiated a routine traffic stop on a pickup truck. Through skillful questioning of the driver, Bradley was able to determine that the driver was an unregistered sex offender who was residing in our county. As a result, a sex offender was placed under arrest and removed from the streets. On February 22, Deputy Bradley was checking on a suspicious vehicle at a business on Ventura Drive. He made contact with two persons in the vehicle, who, as it turned out, were in the process of making an illegal drug deal for steroids. The individuals were in possession of 100 “Dianabol” pills and four glass vials of Stanabol 100. These individuals were arrested. Deputy Bradley also arrested two fugitives during traffic stops in February and returned them to jail. Deputy Bradley is a also Field Training Officer and is responsible for training recruits for a 12-week period after they complete the basic Police Mandate training. During the year, each Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Precinct recognizes a Deputy of the Month. At the end of each year, a Deputy of the Year is selected from the 12 monthly award winners.| < Prev | Next > |
