A 48-year-old Dawsonville, Ga. man was killed on Monday evening, July 25, around 7:00 p.m., when his vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree in Forsyth County.
According to Sgt Chris Shelton of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Specialist Unit, a 2001 Dodge Ram, driven by Ricky Charles Crow, 48, of 5595 Betty Lane, Dawsonville was traveling westbound on Doc Bramblett Road near Polly’s Bluff. Crow’s vehicle left the roadway traveled through a wooden fence and approximately 140 yards before impacting into a pine tree.
Crow’s vehicle rotated counter clockwise and came to rest seven feet from the tree facing northbound.
Crow was pronounced dead on the scene by Forsyth EMS personnel. Mr. Crow had an extensive medical history and it appears that may have attributed to the crash, added Sgt. Shelton.
