The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team is comprised of 18 Deputies that all volunteer to take on the added responsibilities and training. The SWAT team responds to any situation the on-duty Watch Commander feels may need the added resources the SWAT team can deploy.
Deputies assigned to SWAT also have other assignments in the agency, SWAT team members have assigned vehicle, and keep their issued equipment with them so the can respond 24hrs a day if needed for an emergency.
The mission of the SWAT team is to save lives by giving the on-scene Commanders options that will ensure safety to our citizens.
