Did you know many incidents can now be reported by telephone? If you would like to speak to a deputy about an incident that is not in progress you may do so by calling the appropriate precinct during normal business hours. Click here for more information about completing an incident report via telephone.
The Uniform Patrol Division is the backbone of this, as well as any law enforcement agency. Deputies patrol the streets and neighborhoods of Forsyth County 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These dedicated, most visible members of the department are generally the first interaction citizens have with the department and respond to many different types of calls for service.
Incident Reports
If you have an emergency and need an immediate response to your problem please call 911. Many other incidents, however, can be handled by a deputy over the telephone. Examples include reports for thefts, fraud and many other incidents that are not in progress. If you would like to speak to a deputy over the telephone during regular business hours please call the appropriate precinct.

Precincts
The Sheriff's Office Uniform Patrol Division operates out of two precincts, one covering the northern part of the county and the other covering the south end. If you are west of Highway 400 and north of Canton Highway you are located in North Precinct's territory. If you are east of Highway 400 and north of the Lake Lanier Bridge (between exit 15 & 16) you are also in North Precinct. Everything south of this line is typically handled by South Precinct deputies.
