TEEN INTERCEPTION PROGRAM (TIP)

WHAT IS TEEN INTERCEPTION?

 

  • A free teen drug educational program provided by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office

 

  • T.I.P is not a scared straight program

 

  • A program focused on saving teen lives and re-directing them to make better decisions in order to live successful lives

 

WHO CAN ATTEND?

Any teen, age 13 to 17, can attend as well as volunteered teens and mandated teens. However, volunteered and mandated teens will attend separate classes.

 

WHEN WILL CLASSES BE HELD?

 

Classes are held once a week for two hours, usually between 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. The duration of the teen interception program is approximately seven weeks.

 

WHERE WILL CLASSES BE HELD?

 

Classes will be held at the public safety training center located at 3520 SettingDown Rd., Cumming, GA 30040. Offsite classes should also be expected but are not often. These offsite classes are specific to the individual programs. Details and information will be determined as they are planned.
